Lake Mead in Southern Nevada is a beautiful place to be no matter the time of year or the time of day. The surrounding desert scenery and the sparkling blue waters come together to form one of the most gorgeous landscapes the Silver State has to offer. Exploring Lake Mead is always a good time, but can you think of anything better than a sunset kayak tour across its waters? We sure can’t! The newest tour from kayaking company Evolution Expeditions, the Lake Mead Sunset Paddle is a breathtaking, bucket-list-worthy adventure.
If you live in or have visited Nevada then you know exactly what a treat it is to witness a Nevada sunset. Better yet, imagine yourself watching the sunset from the top of one of the state's most beautiful lakes: Lake Mead.
The newest tour offered by expedition guide and outfitter Evolution Expeditions lets you do just that. The company's Lake Mead Sunset Paddle is sure to please kayakers of all skill levels.
Evolution Expeditions is one of the longest-running outfitters guiding excursions in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. They offer full and half-day adventures on Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, and Black Canyon and the Colorado River.
During the Sunset Paddle, you'll paddle out to the Boulder Islands on Lake Mead to watch the desert sunrise put on a show. The tour takes place around 5:30 p.m. when the air is cooler right before sunset.
Once at the island, you'll gather around the campfire and enjoy the views. You'll then enjoy a catered dinner of your choice, finishing the night by roasting s'mores over the open fire.
This is arguably one of the best ways to experience Lake Mead's beauty! Consider it for your next date night or family outing for an evening you'll always remember.
