Are you looking for an epic western adventure in Nevada? This tour from Viator is it! This tour picks you up on the Las Vegas Strip and will take you to several amazing sights outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll see the Hoover Dam, Nelson ghost town, the Techatticup Mine, and more along the way. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep the night before and bring your camera – you’re going to need both for this tour.
Are you ready for a memorable and amazing tour that will take you to some very special places in Nevada? You're going to love this tour.
The first stop on this tour will be a photo stop at the Hoover Dam. This is the second-largest dam in the country and is a true engineering marvel. This dam created Lake Mead and was completed in 1935.
You'll get a chance to walk over the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge for even better pictures, and you'll be able to stand in two states at once in the middle. This bridge was completed in 2010 to divert some of the busy traffic crossing over the dam itself.
Next, you'll visit Nelson ghost town. This town was remote even in the 1800s and with the nearest law enforcement at the time over 200 miles away, so it was a hotbed of illegal activity. Today, it's a popular tourist destination, and its run-down and restored buildings and rusting abandoned vehicles make this a place ripe with countless photo opportunities.
The tour is an hour long. This is the oldest and richest mine in southern Nevada. It was active from 1861 to 1945 and much gold and silver was found here.
This western adventure in Nevada has a little bit of everything and you’re going to love everything about it! When visiting Las Vegas, it’s so easy to get sucked in by everything Sin City has to offer, but it’s good to step away from it all and get out into nature and learn some local history, too. This tour will allow you to do exactly that – and with a small and intimate group, too. Book your experience now, before you head to Vegas – you’ll be glad that you did. Have fun!
