Pyramid Lake is one of Nevada's most incredible wonders. It appears almost like a mirage in the desert. It's hard to believe that just outside of the Las Vegas area is one of the most breathtaking wilderness areas in the state. The Mt. Charleston Wilderness Area is a great place to escape from the desert heat. Hiding in the area are some of Nevada's coolest treasures, including the oldest living organisms in the world—Bristlecone Pines.

The Grand Canyon may technically be in Arizona, but it would be a crime to ignore the brilliant sightseeing tours that are based out of Nevada. Something that should be near the top of every Nevadan's bucket list is a helicopter tour of one of our world's greatest natural wonders. Boasting the highest elevation of any Tahoe-based resort, Mt. Rose is heaven on earth for skiers and snowboarders. With dozens of trails to choose from, this place goes to show that Nevada is a premiere destination for desert dwellers and powderhounds.
Northern Nevada is a treasure trove of adventure destinations, including the breathtakingly beautiful Ruby Mountains. Take a day (or several) to explore The Ruby Crest National Recreation Trail where you'll come across plenty of wildlife, lakes, streams, and jaw-dropping scenery.
