Welcome to today's adventure, a hike over on the beautiful Water Canyon Interpretive Trail near Winnemucca, Nevada. This scenic area of Water Canyon is a treat to explore, especially on a trail as easy as this one.
For those who like to explore at their own pace, this little trail is a perfect fit. Enjoy the greenery along the way during the wet season, or find beauty in all the red, orange, and brown hues of dry days and wintertime hikes.
This out-and-back path is one of the most kid-friendly and leashed dog-friendly trail around. It covers 5.8 miles of hike, which takes an average of 3 hours to finish. The elevation gain makes a hike this short last longer, but the views are worth every step.
If you're lucky and you look hard enough, you can find a bit of water running through here still, along the dip in the canyon. This river turned creek is a seasonal secret, waiting to be uncovered under the right conditions.
