Here’s a fun fact you may not know about Nevada: The Silver State has more mountain ranges than any other state! You may not think of Nevada as overly mountainous, but it truly is. Although it’s not “the most mountainous state” – that title goes to Colorado, as it has the highest average elevation of any state – Nevada does, in fact, have more mountain ranges than anywhere else. Believe it or not, Nevada mountain ranges are so numerous that there are over 300 different named ranges in the state and there are at least 100 more that are unnamed.
