Here in Nevada, nothing really surprises us anymore. After all, our state is home to some of the kookiest attractions including an abandoned car boneyard, the weirdest-looking man-made geyser in existence, and even a museum dedicated solely to The Mob. However, our state never fails to whip up something new that mesmerizes us with its uniqueness. This death-themed tavern is the perfect example. This place is dreadfully macabre…but in a good way. See it for yourself and enjoy some of the deadly delicious cocktails they have to offer!
Located in Reno, Death & Taxes in a one-of-a-kind tavern that's dripping in a dreadfully macabre aesthetic. This death-themed bar is definitely a unique experience that you'll want to try out.
The tavern first opened in 2013 and it's been heralded as one of the most creative drinking experiences in Reno ever since. As you walk in, you'll notice various shades of black covering everything , along with Victorian-style furniture and chandeliers to complete the old-fashioned look.
Simply put, this place resembles what would happen if the Gothic and Western styles got together and had a baby. However, it totally works. The atmosphere is bound to draw you in, but it's the drinks that truly make this place stand out.
Their list of signature cocktails is updated frequently and features seasonal ingredients, house-made syrups, and creative infusions. They also boast a rotating wine and beer selection.
Death & Taxes represents an effort in the cocktail scene to truly elevate the drinking experience. These aren't just your typical cocktails. Made with unique flavors and ingredients that seem to meld together perfectly and crafted with precision, these drinks are more like miniature works of art.
