However, there’s one magical destination that you may not have heard of yet. Only in its second year, this Christmas village shows a lot of promise. Boasting beautiful holiday decor, an ice skating rink, scrumptious goodies, and plenty of Christmas cheer, it’s almost impossible not to fall in love with this place on the spot. Now in its second year, Green Valley Ranch's Winter Village is about to become your new favorite family tradition. For the entire month of December, this elegant resort turns into a family-friendly winter wonderland and it's truly a sight to see.
The Winter Village opened for the season on November 17 and will continue through January 6, 2019. During this time, families can visit the resort and take part in all sorts of holiday fun.
Inside the village you'll find an ice rink, holiday treats, a holiday lounge for relaxing, and Santa himself. Not to mention, the entire place is totally decked out with lights and stunning Christmas decor. The resort is almost unrecognizable.
Entry to the village itself is free, but you can purchase certain "Staycation" packages depending on the experience you'd like to have. For example, the "Stay, Sip, and Skate" package includes a 1-night stay, two ice rink passes, and a $30 credit for the Frost Lounge. Other packages include the "S'mores Please" and "Date and Skate".
There are also a plethora of events that will take place in the village throughout the month, including an Ugly Sweater Night, Holiday Carolers, and even Christmas movie nights!
The best part about the Winter Village is that it's truly for everybody. Both children and adults of all ages can find something for them here in this magical wonderland. For example, the kiddos can visit Santa while the adults enjoy the two-for-one Happy Hour at the Frost Lounge (wink, wink.)
The Winter Village is open Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Hours are extended the week of Christmas so be sure to find some time to visit this awesome attraction. It might just become your new favorite tradition!
