Start the holiday season off right and visit one of Nevada's most festive Christmas towns. For the entirety of December, Virginia City gets all gussied up and turns into an enchanting Victorian Christmas Village during Christmas on the Comstock. It's a wonderful sight that you don't want to miss.
The entire town gets decked out in holiday lights and Christmas decor. Combined with the historic buildings, it really does look like a scene straight out of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
The Victorian-style celebration kicks off on December 1st and a variety of activities and events are held all the way up until Christmas Day. On the 1st you can expect fun traditions like the Parade of Lights, Christmas in the Sierra Concert, and Grinch Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl.
Another beloved tradition you'll want to check out is the Nightmare Before Christmas performance by the Piper's Players. This is a highly anticipated production of the Tim Burton classic and it takes place at Piper's Opera House on select dates.
