Hiding in an unassuming little building on the side of the road, Nik n' Willie's Pizza and Deli is the definition of a hidden gem in Reno. It may not draw a lot of attention to itself, but the pizza sure does!
Nik n' Willie's has been serving Reno since 1992, so it's safe to say they know what they're doing when it comes to creating a delicious pizza. This ramshackle pizzeria does it right, so it's no wonder they've been around for so long.
The founder, Bradley Schneider, started the concept of Nik n' Willie's Take-N-Bake Pizza in Mammoth Lakes, California. His goal was to provide the freshest, best pizza at a reasonable price. This concept saw a lot of success, and spread to other locations in Nevada, Colorado, and even New Zealand.
Sadly, Brad died in 1989 at the age of just 32. However, his concept for fresh and affordable pizza lived on. Many employees of Nik n' Willie's that were around in the beginning are still around today. They took his vision and ran with it, creating the Reno location of Nik n' Willie's in the process.
Each pizza is created with hand-tossed dough, homemade sauces, and freshly grated cheese. Their unique blend of fresh ingredients and abundance of toppings assures you'll be gobbling up some of the finest pizza in the state.
There are an abundance of specialty pizzas to choose from, or you can create your own. Popular choices include the Big Nik-N-Wild Willie's (the combination pizza) and Pam's Favorite (white sauce, fresh spinach, mushrooms, red onions, garlic, and tomatoes.)
