Remember the old piano bars of the early 20th-century where people would gather in a lounge where the piano was the central hub of entertainment with music bringing people together to socialize? Well, neither do I as I’m not quite that old; however, I have seen many movies that feature this type of atmosphere (Casablanca, anyone?) Ichabod’s Lounge & Piano Bar in Las Vegas epitomizes the classic piano bar with its wonderful food, drinks, ambiance, and entertainment. Toss in the gaming aspect inherent to Las Vegas and you have one of the absolute best places in Sin City to visit and stay awhile. Just ask the locals—they’ll agree.
Ichabod's is located in east Las Vegas at 3300 E. Flamingo Road and can be reached at (702) 452-2323.
Howie Gold is the resident piano player extraordinaire, entertaining guests with everything from Broadway showtunes, 1940's big band music, Rat Pack standards, and contemporary favorites from artists like Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, and more. Live music begins nightly at 6:30 p.m.
Ichabod's also offers appetizers (they have some of the best chicken wings in all of Las Vegas!), soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and various entrees like this chicken marsala and linguini.
Friendly and energetic owner Francois Alvandi (left) is always around, schmoozing with the guests and playing poker with the local league that meets here on Monday evenings. This gentleman always has a smile and a kind word for all of his valued customers.
