14 Deliciously Famous Nevada Eateries You May Have Seen On TV

If you are like me, you are addicted to the Food Network, Travel Channel, and Cooking Channel. While I love to cook, I also love to discover great places to eat near me. From shows like UNLV alumnus Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to Travel Channel’s Food Paradise to the Cooking Channel’s Food Wars —and more—it’s always a pleasure seeing a local eatery featured on television. Here is a list of 14 of the best “as seen on TV” restaurants in the Silver State.
1. Mesa Grill, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South (in Caesars Palace), Las Vegas (702) 731-7731
One of Iron Chef Bobby Flay's brainchildren, Mesa Grill features Flay's own signature Tex-Mex, southwestern flair. Impeccable service, great ambiance, and superlative food makes this eatery one you must try. Mesa Grill has been featured on Celebrity Chefs and The Best Thing I Ever Ate (pictured is the tiger shrimp tamale which, in fact, is the best thing chef Michael Symon has ever eaten.)
2. Aces & Ales, 3740 S. Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas (702) 436-7600
Opened in 2009, Aces & Ales has over 22 taps, 50-70 rare bottles, and over 100 cellared kegs. Aces & Ales’ selection will appeal to beer connoisseurs as well as the casual beer drinker. Not just a bar, however, Aces & Ales has some of the most delicious bar food around, especially its buffalo wings, "arrogant bastard" onion rings (pictured), and soft Bavarian pretzels (my personal favorite!) Aces & Ales was featured on the Food Network's Drinking Made Easy.
3. Bachi Burger, 470 E. Windmill Lane, Ste. 200, Las Vegas (702) 242-2244
This delicious Asian-inspired burger eatery has amazing dishes such as ox-tail fries, an incredible bone marrow appetizer, bahn mi burgers, pork belly buns, and the Shogun burger (with Wagyu beef, unagi, and foie gras.) Bachi Burger has been featured on both the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives as well as Unique Eats.
4. The Gold 'N Silver Inn, 790 W. 4th Street, Reno (775) 323-2696
Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, the Gold 'N Silver Inn has been in owner Jeff Paine's family since 1962. Featuring large portions of home-style comfort food, this nostalgic diner sure hits the spot.
5. Lone Eagle Grille, 111 Country Club Drive, Incline Village (775) 886-6899
Featured on Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels, the Lone Eagle Grille offers seasonally-inspired, gourmet fare in a rustic lakefront atmosphere. From the gorgeous ambience to pleasant and efficient service to delectable food, Lone Eagle Grille belongs atop your Nevada dining bucket list.
6. Hot N Juicy Crawfish, 4810 Spring Mountain Road, Ste. C & D, Las Vegas (702) 891-8889
Hot N Juicy Crawfish brings the delectable, melt-in-your-mouth Creole/Cajun crawfish to the desert. Hot N Juicy's signature spicy crawfish has been featured on Food Network's Man vs. Food and Unique Eats. Hot N Juicy Crawfish has two other locations in the Vegas Valley: 3863 Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas and 9560 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson.
7. The Coffee Cup, 512 Nevada Hwy, Boulder City (702) 294-0517
Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, the Coffee Cup is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The breakfast, especially, is out of this world, particularly the light and fluffy waffles and the huevos rancheros with the Coffee Cup's famous chili verde (pictured.) Add to the great food terrific coffee and impeccable service and you have a scrumptious eatery you will definitely want to visit again and again.
8. Those Guys Pies, 2916 Lake E. Drive, Las Vegas (702) 629-2626
Those Guys Pies features authentic east coast pizza with homemade sauce, fresh mozzarella, crust, sausage, and meatballs; however, the Philly cheesesteak (pictured) takes the cake. Made with Angus beef, this sandwich is certifiably melt-in-your-mouth heaven. Those Guys Pies has been featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
9. The Nugget, 233 N. Virginia St., Reno (775) 323-0716
Known for its famous Reno institution the Awful-Awful burger (pictured), The Nugget has been featured on Food Wars. Despite its rather inauspicious exterior, the food is simply amazing.
10. Louis' Basque Corner, 301 E. 4th Avenue, Reno (775) 323-7203
This unique dining experience was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives's globetrotting episode. Known for its ox-tail and chorizo soup, sweetbreads, signature Picon Punch, leg of lamb, and lomo (pictured), Louis' Basque Corner is a truly authentic dining experience with amazing food, large portions, and service with a smile, along with some pretty nifty Basque history.

Rao's has been featured on both Guilty Pleasures (celebrity chef extraordinaire Bobby Flay recommends the beef lasagna, pictured) and Top 5 Restaurants. Frank Pellegrino Sr., Frank Pellegrino Jr., and Ron Straci have brought their New York Italian, time-honored delicacies such as risotto, perfect pastas, steak bistecca, and Rao's famous lemon chicken to Las Vegas. This is one restaurant that belongs atop your bucket list.
12. Lola's: A Louisiana Kitchen, 241 W. Charleston Blvd., Ste. 121, Las Vegas (702) 227-5652 (LOLA) and 1220 N. Town Center Dr., Las Vegas (702) 871-5652
Authentic Louisiana cuisine is Lola's specialty, Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives for its amazing po' boy sandwiches (like the grilled shrimp po' boy pictured), you can't go wrong at this amazing Nevada eatery.
13. Sammy's L.A. Pastrami & Burgers, 2191 E. Tropicana Ave., Las Vegas (702) 736-1698
Featured on Travel Channel's Food Paradise's drive thru paradise episode, Sammy's has been called "a diamond in the rough" and "the best place to overeat" by Las Vegas Weekly. From traditional pastrami sandwiches with mustard and pickles to the amazing pastrami burger, pastrami lovers will truly adore this little eatery.
14. DISH Cafe & Catering Company, 855 Mill St., Reno (775) 348-8264
Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' fresh and funky episode, DISH creates amazing, fresh, farm-to-table seasonal dishes with a funky flair. Diners rave about this small cafe's varied and delicious salads and sandwiches.
