We’ve looked at all sorts of restaurants in Nevada this year. Even in our small towns you can find all types of interesting cuisine and there’s definitely no end to the choices of places to eat here. After looking over the last year, here are some favorites we’ve chosen as places to be sure to add to your 2017 Dining Bucket List!

1. Pioneer Saloon (Goodsprings), one of the Nevada restaurants that has stood the test of time.

This "Old West" saloon was first built in 1913 and it's one of the oldest, if not the oldest, active business in the state made from stamped tin. The Pioneer Saloon not only serves great BBQ-style food, but there's lots of Nevada history to found on its walls and learned from its staff. The Pioneer Saloon is located at 310 West Spring Street in Goodsprings.
2. The Roasting House (Virginia City), one Nevada's "mouthwatering" restaurants.

The Roasting House is a delicious spot for specialty coffee, baked goods, breakfast, tasty sandwiches and ice cream treats. Coffee beans are roasted on site which makes this spot a caffeine aficionado's dream. The exposed brick interior makes the decor warm and inviting with a "1800's" feel. The Roasting House is located at 55 North C Street in Virginia City.
3. Jailhouse Motel & Casino (Ely), a Nevada restaurant like none other in the world.

The restaurant is built from the original Ely City Hall building and diners actually sit and eat in jail cells (doors open and unlocked though!) The food is a mix of steak, BBQ, and seafood. The Jailhouse Motel & Casino is located at 211 5th Street in Ely.
4. Casale's Halfway Club (Reno), is the oldest, continuously family-owned restaurant in Nevada.

This homey Italian spot is headed by matriarch "Mama" Inez Casale Stempeck, who was only 10 years old when her parents first started the business as a roadside fruit stand in 1937. Traditional Italian favorites can be enjoyed here like spaghetti, ravioli and lasagna. The place is known for its warm, family atmosphere. Casale's Half Way Club is located at 2501 East 4th Street in Reno.
5. Fox Smokehouse BBQ (Boulder City), is one of Nevada's hard to find dining spots that are definitely worth the search.

If you love Texas-style BBQ, then you need to find Fox Smokehouse BBQ! Located in Boulder City, it's a great spot to visit while going to Lake Mead or the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas locals are known for making the drive down here to eat. Large, delicious portions of BBQ will be served to you and you will not be disappointed! You can enjoy Fox Smokehouse BBQ at 1007 Elm Street, Unit E in Boulder City.
6. The Depot Craft Brewery (Reno) was once a train station and you'll want to visit.

This charming spot was once the headquarters for the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway and it's listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The interior has been lovingly restored with a modern touch. If you're a beer connoisseur, you'll love the craft brews created at the Depot. And the food is all locally sourced and freshly prepared "bar cuisine" with an upscale twist. The Depot Craft Brewery and Distillery is located at 325 East 4th Street in Reno.
7. The Martin Hotel (Winnemucca), built in 1898, is one of the longest-standing restaurants in Nevada.

This restaurant was once a rooming house for cattle ranchers in the late 1800s. It now serves Basque food family-style, which is extremely popular in the northern part of Nevada due to the influx of Basque immigrants. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places so you can enjoy a delicious and hearty meal in a place rich with Nevada history. The Martin Hotel is located at 94 West Railroad Street in Winnemucca.
8. The Crown Point Restaurant (Virginia City). is one of many amazing Nevada restaurants loaded with local history.

The Crown Point Restaurant is the dining establishment for the Gold Hill Hotel. Built in 1861, it was once the spot for famous figures like Mark Twain and The Monumental Liars Club to gather. The hotel is also the oldest operating hotel in the state. The restaurant serves elegantly prepared steak, seafood, and other American-style dishes. The Crown Point is located at 1540 Main Street in Virginia City.
9. Cafe at Adele's (Carson City) is one of Nevada's amazing hidden restaurants.

This lovely cafe is inside one of the oldest homes in Carson City, a restored Comstock Mansart Victorian. It is run by award-winning Chef Charlie Abowd and his wife Karen. The cafe focuses on fresh, local ingredients and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cafe at Adele's is located at 1112 North Carson Street in Carson City.
10. The Slanted Porch (Fallon) is one of Nevada's magical outdoor dining spots.

The Slanted Porch is located inside a former house. You can enjoy many mouthwatering food choices and the restaurant is proud to serve locally grown, fresh food. There are both indoor and outdoor dining options as well. The Slanted Porch is located at 310 South Taylor Street in Fallon.
11. Raku (Las Vegas) was just named one of the best restaurants in the world.

Conde Nast Traveler recently put out their list of the world's best dining spots, and named only one place for Nevada - the amazing Raku. Even local chefs on the Las Vegas Strip list Raku as one of their favorite spots to dine. You can enjoy expertly prepared Japanese cuisine but be sure to make a reservation to get in! Raku is located at 5030 West Spring Mountain Road, Suite 2, in Las Vegas.
