Remember when the cronut was a big thing? That croissant/donut combo has nothing on the wonut, a magnificent mashup of two of the greatest breakfast foods ever: waffles and donuts. They’re not easy to find in Nebraska, but one place in Lincoln has cornered the market on this uniquely tasty treat.
You'll find Waffleopolis inside Sebastian's Table, a restaurant that does triple duty as an upscale eatery (Sebastian's Table), a classy cocktail bar (Eleanora), and a trendy breakfast/brunch stop (Waffleopolis).
And just like donuts, these little morsels will get your day started right. If you order ahead, you can even get a dozen or two to take into work with you. (Or just take them all home for yourself. We won't tell.)
Is your sweet tooth on the fritz? There are also tons of savory waffle options, like the Unlawful Waffle topped with spicy fried chicken, tons of gravy and gouda cheese, maple syrup, and fried onion straws.
