A walk through the forest is always a nice, relaxing way to spend a day. Sometimes, though, you’re looking for just a bit more adventure. You can have the beauty of the forest and a heart-pumping thrill ride at Fontenelle Forest’s newest addition.
Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue has long been known as the perfect place in eastern Nebraska to hike through thick woods and admire nature. In summer 2019, though, a new kind of outdoor adventure arrived.
This is TreeRush Adventures at Fontenelle Forest. The adventure park among the treetops spans six acres and features a wide array of obstacles for visitors of all ages.
The entire course uses the double-clipped-on method to ensure everyone's safety. That means that you'll always be securely connected to a safety cable during your adventure.
And what an adventure it is! Challenging elements await all throughout the course for visitors of all ages and most ability levels. You'll cross bridges, zoom down zip lines, climb across ropes, and enjoy incredible views from as high up as 55 feet.
To participate in the main adventure, climbers must be at least 7 years old. You can choose from several difficulty levels depending on your comfort level.
Smaller adventurers will enjoy KidRush Adventures, a smaller part of the park made just for kids 4-8. The course incorporates two trails with 16 adventures to keep your little ones moving and exploring.
If you're not entirely comfortable with the idea of climbing, swinging, and flying around, don't worry. Besides the state-of-the-art safety equipment, staff members are available all throughout the course to provide advice, encouragement, or help as needed.
This is one adventure the whole family can get behind! There's no experience quite like this in Nebraska, and you'll want to keep coming back to enjoy it again and again.
