Ask most Nebraskans to point out Virginia, Nebraska on a map and you’d probably get some confused looks. But true steak lovers will know exactly where that is – it’s the home of Terry’s Steakhouse. The tiny restaurant is a destination all on its own.
Located near Beatrice, Virginia is a teeny tiny town of just around 60 people. You won't find a whole lot of anything in Virginia, but Terry's Steakhouse is a true treasure.
The steakhouse is located in Mencl's Tavern, which itself is located in the historic Virginia Hotel. Today it is the center of dining and socialization in Virginia. Although the town is blink-and-you'll-miss-it small, reservations are a must at Terry's.
The food is nothing fancy; it's about what you'd expect from a small-town Nebraska steakhouse. But it's high-quality food prepared well, and it's all tasty enough to bring customers in from many miles away.
On any given night you'll find the place crowded with locals and people who have made a special trip just to experience Terry's. Remember to make that reservation if you're hoping to get a table here.
Top off your tasty meal with a homemade dessert and you’ll be so stuffed it’s hard to move. Everything is served by a friendly staff who truly seems to care about your dining experience. By the time you leave, you’ll already be planning your next visit.
Visit Mencl’s Tavern/Terry’s Steakhouse at 200 4th St, Virginia, NE 68458. Find more details like hours and contact info on their site or on their Facebook page.
