In western Nebraska, the aesthetic of most restaurants is more cowboy than cosmopolitan. There are some outliers, though, like this charming wine bar, tapas restaurant, and retail store in Scottsbluff. It’s the kind of place you’d never expect to find in the panhandle, but once you find it you’ll want to keep going back over and over.
This unassuming former gas station is now The Tangled Tumbleweed, a locally-owned establishment that opened in June 2016.
Wine lovers, you'll have a whole lot to be thankful for when you discover The Tangled Tumbleweed. The wine list has something for everyone, but it's not so large as to be overwhelming.
Set aside some time to share a meal and a drink with friends or family. This unique setting is the perfect place to connect or reconnect with the special people in your life.
On the other end of the building is The Tangled Tumbleweed's retail space. Here you'll find a charming inventory of home decor, clothing, jewelry, and vintage and antique items.
The selection is carefully curated so it's full of wonderful finds, but not overwhelming in its scope. Be warned: it's almost impossible to shop here without finding a treasure to take home.
Whether you're looking for a new go-to dinner spot, a charming place to enjoy a glass of wine, or a unique shopping experience, this is one place that can give you all of that and more.
The Tangled Tumbleweed is located at 1823 Avenue A, Scottsbluff, NE. Take a look at its website or Facebook page to learn more about this enchanting hidden gem in the panhandle.
This business isn’t all that’s charming about Scottsbluff. Did you know the city itself has been called the most charming small town in Nebraska? Check out this article from the archives to learn more.
