When you’re craving Mexican food in Nebraska, you’ve got plenty of choices. They run the range from little neighborhood places to big, fancy date-night destinations, and they’ve all got their own specialties. This cute pink building in Nebraska is the latter, but don’t let its size fool you; it’s full of big flavors.
Tacos El Pueblito is located in Nebraska City. The bright pink building is impossible to miss, and after you stop in you'll always associate the color with fresh, delicious Mexican meals. In fact, locals call this place the Mexican Pink Palace.
The family-owned and operated restaurant has been feeding hungry bellies since 2001. Everything is made lovingly, by hand, just like the meals made at home by your favorite abuelita. When you sit down for a meal in the little dining room, you'll be treated just like family.
When you come, bring your appetite. This food is nothing short of amazing, and it sure as heck wins out over anything you'll get from those drive-through chain restaurants.
Find all of your standard Mexican favorites, like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and tostadas. Finish off your platter with a side of seasoned rice and refried beans and you'll soon be happily on your way to a food coma. Wash it down with a fruity Jarritos soda or an extra special treat.
Even folks who are very familiar with Mexican food - those who hail from Mexico or Texas, for example - sing this little taco joint's praises. The food really is that good and that authentic. Don't forget to try the freshly-made salsa!
