Play With Butterflies At Sunken Gardens, Then Explore The Antelope Creek Trail In Nebraska
The capital city of Lincoln is filled with outdoor adventures that are perfect for a day trip that the entire family will enjoy. One of our favorite day trips in Lincoln, Nebraska is the Sunken Gardens – a 1.5-acre garden in the heart of the city that’s full of beautiful blooms. And you know what those beautiful blooms attract? Butterflies!

The area was actually a dumpsite before turning it into the beautiful garden you see today. Talk about a rags to riches transformation!

Donations are accepted, and your generosity will go right back into the garden’s maintenance so that future generations can appreciate this lovely space for years to come.
