Nebraska may not have oceans or the Great Lakes, but we’ve got plenty of waterfront spots that offer amazing views. One of those spots is a restaurant in Fremont on the shores of a private lake. You don’t have to be a resident to eat there, which is good news for all of us non-residents – you won’t want to miss this food.
Woodcliff Lakes is a lovely private community located on two human-made lakes just off of the Platte River. Residents enjoy homes and cabins with incredible views of the water.
While the people who live there get to enjoy the views every day, you can visit and marvel at the lakes as you enjoy a delicious meal at The Woodcliff Restaurant.
The Woodcliff Restaurant began as a little bar in the 1970s. It's grown and changed significantly since then, including changing owners several times. But one thing that hasn't changed is the stunning lake views that you can take in from the restaurant's huge patio.
There are, of course, burgers on the menu. But these aren't just any beach day burgers - these are fresh, juicy beef patties with all kinds of delicious and creative toppings.
Pictured here is the Merica Burger, which includes a beef patty, American cheese, bacon jam, Thousand Island dressing, shredded lettuce, and pickles, all topped off with crushed Doritos.
There are also plenty of more elevated dishes, including the fan-favorite coconut shrimp. The menu changes seasonally, and the kitchen uses the freshest ingredients to ensure that you have an excellent meal every time you visit.
...While ultra-fresh ingredients remind you that you're dining at a restaurant with a dedicated chef who wants to provide a memorable experience for every diner.
You can also order a beer, a glass of wine, or a cocktail to help wash down your meal.
Specials rotate, but you can expect a regular steak night and burger night each week. The last Friday of the month is fried catfish night, which you do not want to miss.
Indulge in one of The Woodcliff Restaurant's specialties and order the New York strip with peppercorn sauce. The steak is perfectly cooked every time and the peppercorn sauce is a tasty addition. Don't forget to order dessert - the sweet treats are off-the-charts good.
Sit inside and gaze out at the water through the tall windows, or pull up a seat on the patio if the weather is nice enough. You can even host special events here, or have The Woodcliff Restaurant cater your next shindig.
There’s nothing quite like a meal with a view, and The Woodcliff Restaurant offers that in a big way. Check out the restaurant’s website or visit its Facebook page to see more mouthwatering pictures, read the menu, and get yourself all hungry and ready for dinner.
