There’s nothing as tasty as a big, juicy steak dinner, and here in Nebraska, we pretty much have that covered. You’ll find steak houses all over the state, and we recently found one hiding in the middle of several cornfields! Check out Round the Bend Steakhouse:
On a rural highway out in Ashland, you'll find a little steakhouse tucked away amongst the cornfields. Look for the signs that direct you up the hill to Round the Bend Steakhouse.
The address of the restaurant is 30801 E. Park Hwy., Ashland, NE 68003.
Round the Bend Steakhouse got its start in 1995. Owner Ron Olson handed it off to his son and daughter-in-law in 2012, and it's still family-owned today. Halfway in-between Omaha and Lincoln, it's the perfect place to meet up with friends from either town.
This place has a casual, friendly vibe that's very welcoming. You'll find plenty of comfortable seating for a party of any size, and the service is phenomenal.
You'll find a menu packed with all kinds of delicious, home-cooked items, but the steaks are the star of the show here. They're hand-cut right here in the restaurant, then seasoned and grilled to perfection.
If you have a comfort food favorite, you'll want to watch the daily specials. Tuesday night is chicken fried steak, and people line up here on Saturday night for the prime rib.
If you prefer a juicy burger, sink your teeth into one of these eight ounce Certified Angus Beef Burgers. They're ground and pattied in-house and they're delicious.
Folks around here know all about the annual Testicle Festival at Round the Bend Steakhouse. Try them off the regular menu, or plan to attend the festival, held every June, which includes music, dancing, beer, and "bull fries."
