Twenty-five minutes from downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, there’s a restaurant on a 40-acre farm. And not only does it feel remote, it also has great food and views!
Prairie Plate Restaurant opened in 2014 a little northwest of Waverly, Nebraska when Lakehouse Farm owners Renee and Jerry Cornett decided to take a step beyond the popular "farm-to-table" concept.
They decided the perfect world would be a "farm-to-our-kitchen-to-table" approach. Things were set in motion and soon afterward they had their new restaurant up and running in this building by the lake.

Lakehouse Farm, a Certified Organic Farm and sister to Prairie Plate Restaurant, grows all the veggies used in the savory dishes at Prairie Plate.
The menu changes often to accommodate the daily harvest.
