The world of Harry Potter has captured imaginations and captivated fans for more than two decades. Folks love it so much, in fact, that they gather to celebrate the lore, costumes, food, and merriment of this delightful universe. In 2019, the Omaha Potter Faire is set to bring Harry Potter and the world of Hogwarts to Nebraska.

Hogwarts comes to life at the Omaha Potter Faire, which will celebrate its second year in 2019. Although the festival won't be held in this grand structure, the spirit of the academy will be alive and well at a magical venue.

The venue this year is Bellevue Berry & Pumpkin Ranch. This photo is from a Renaissance Festival there, but you can expect a similar crowd and level of excitement at the Potter Faire.

Vendors will be on site selling wands, stuffed owls, and food - including butterbeer! Children are welcome, of course, and there will be plenty of activities for them as well, including Harry Potter coloring books, board games, and lots more.

Costume contests - one for adults and one for children - will crown the attendees who don the best wizardy costumes. Last year, Cosplay Imaging provided portraits in front of a green screen, allowing folks to take photos in front of their house crest of choice. Other activities will include games, a live owl display courtesy of the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery program, entertainment, and plenty more that has yet to be announced.

The 2019 Potter Fair will be June 1-2 at the Bellevue Berry & Pumpkin Patch, located on South 48th Street between Cornhusker Rd and Hwy 370 in Bellevue.
