Finding a fun, nostalgic experience is never a challenge in Nebraska, where we find history endlessly entertaining. But this one spot is a little different, and it will take you right back to your childhood.
You may recognize this building in Omaha's Old Market as the home of Hollywood Candy and the eclectic antique store, Fairmont Mercantile. But recently, a new attraction moved in.
It's not only a place to come to look at the old arcade machines; you can actually play all of them. There are more than 85 machines to choose from, so you can play for hours without ever getting bored. In fact, it's the largest pinball arcade in the whole midwest!
Despite its name, there are more than just pinball machines here. You'll find plenty of those, of course, but there are also several 1980s arcade machines and other fun surprises to discover.
Pull up a stool and settle in for a fun afternoon of nostalgia as you plunk in your tokens and watch the flashing colors light up the room. Or rent the room for a private event and play games all afternoon with a room full of your favorite people.
The Hollywood Pinball & Arcade Museum is located at 1209 Jackson St, Omaha, NE 68102. Visit its website here for more information.
When you go to play the games, don’t forget to browse the huge selection of nostalgic and modern candy at Hollywood Candy, which is in the very same building.
