You can find (almost) all the comforts of home in the little shop, along with a selection of foods for you and for the fish, if you plan on doing some fishing.
There are 10 cabooses in all, and each sleeps up to six people. Two of the beds are located in the cupola, which is a super fun place for kids to sleep.
And you may need it after a day of fishing. The trout lake is full of fish that are destined to be your dinner, and there's even a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier.
If you're looking for a slightly drier experience, take a walk on one of the park's many trails. This wooded and well-trafficked park always has plenty to look at.
Despite being a busy recreation area, there are still lots of peaceful places to find at Two Rivers. You'll feel utterly serene as you lean against a tree and gaze out at the water.
Two Rivers State Recreation Area is located south of Hwy 92, between the Platte and Elkhorn Rivers near Venice, Waterloo, and Yutan. You can make a reservation or learn more about this unique campground right here.
