Sip Wine And Mingle With Ghosts At Iron Horse Food & Spirits, One Of Nebraska's Oldest, Most Haunted Bars
The Iron Horse Food & Spirits has been a fixture in the tiny town of Hooper for over 100 years. Known for its legendary chicken fried steaks and tasty burgers, you’ll often see the place packed with people who have made the 52-mile drive from Omaha to dine there. And rumor has it that the building is also full of the spirits of those who are no longer with us.

You won't find a lot of excitement in this tiny town, but this bar is always a popular place to spend an evening.

For a haunted establishment, this place is quite lively.

In 2012, an employee of 17 years, Kathy Messier, described regularly hearing the kitchen bell ring when no one was in it. She also recalled a night when she threw a piece of bread at the garbage can only to find it a few minutes later next to her feet.

The Iron Horse has been explored by quite a few paranormal investigators over the years. One of them even caught the audio of someone warning them to get out (yikes).

You probably won't see any ghosts... but if you do, they'll be friendly.
