Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Fun fact: Chadron State Park is Nebraska’s first and oldest state park, and on June 10th, 2024, it’ll be celebrating a very special 103rd birthday. For just over a century now, this amazing state park has reflected all the wild beauty that Nebraska is capable of – wild beauty that all too many people simply don’t give it an ounce of credit for. While some might accuse Nebraska of being “flat,” these folks clearly haven’t a clue that a place like Chadron State Park even exists.
Welcome to paradise: In this case, paradise is soundly located in Nebraska.
It features so much more than just natural wonders, but goodness, are those natural wonders worth witnessing.
While the uninformed might brush Nebraska off as flat and bland, Chadron State Park features vistas and views that one would never expect to find in this little corner of the nation.
That plus the absolutely incredible hikes leading to some truly unique geological features make the whole park absolutely worth a visit at ANY time - not just during its birthday week.

The park is open year-round, but in June, everything's a little prettier thanks to an abundance of greenery, wildlife, and sights to see. Plus, everything's a little more wonderful on its birthday, right? At least I think so.
