In Nebraska, where the winters can be long and harsh, we often think of the winter months as a time to get through rather than a time to relish. Some people even develop Seasonal Affective Disorder, which can lead to low energy and depression. Instead of just waiting for winter to be over, here are a few ways to make the most of the colder months.
The key to loving winter is to stay within your level of cold tolerance. Can’t stand getting a little chilly? Light up that fireplace and kick back with a good book. If you’re the type to wear shorts in a blizzard, head on outside for a snowman building contest with the local kids. We might be in for a long winter (or not – it’s Nebraska. Who knows?) so we might as well make the most of it! What do you do to make your winters brighter? Let us know in the comments!
