The Lied Lodge & Conference Center was built by the Arbor Day Foundation and was originally intended to serve as a gathering place for people to discuss environmental concerns and conservation. This beautiful, recently-renovated place still serves as an ambassador for conservation, and is open to the public to enjoy. It's a unique, enchanting place to stay.
When you step inside the lodge, you'll immediately be stunned at the spectacular reception area. The soaring ceilings make this huge space light and airy, and the timber supports, wood-lined ceilings, stone hearth and comfy leather seating gives the space a cozy, natural, and welcoming feel.
The 140 guest rooms at Lied Lodge offer modern furnishings, with a touch of natural beauty. Enjoy comfortable beds, luxury bedding and, in some rooms, Douglas fir timbers and cedar-lined ceilings.
The Olympic-sized pool was also renovated and is open from 6:30 AM to 11 PM. Get some exercise while swimming laps, or just splash around. You'll also enjoy a hot tub and cedar-lined sauna.

During your stay, plan a visit to the Arbor Lodge Mansion. Located in the Arbor Lodge State Historical Park in Nebraska City, the 52-room mansion was built by J. Sterling Morton - the father of Arbor Day. Tour this gorgeous home to learn more about its history, and take a look at the more than 200 varieties of lilacs on the grounds.
