Does this sound familiar? You want to treat your family to a night of delicious takeout to support a local restaurant, but you just can’t agree on a place. The next time this happens, take your whole crew on over to the Inner Rail Food Hall, a unique dining experience in Omaha that’s sure to please everyone.
The Inner Rail Food Hall opened in late 2019 in the popular Aksarben Village development.
While dining here today looks a little different than this picture thanks to social distancing and indoor seating limitations, this collection of restaurants definitely deserves a visit.
There are 10 restaurants to choose from, each with its own menu. You can get a little from here and a little from there to create your perfect mix-and-match meal. Opt to sit in the common dining area or take your food to go.
Briggs Bean is the resident coffee/pastry shop. Its rich, freshly brewed coffee is perfect at any time of the day, especially when you pair it with one of the pastries supplied directly from the local favorite Sweet Magnolias Bakery.
If a burger is what you're craving, you'll want to head to B Squared Burger. This place is all about the all-American menu, serving hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and fries. The menu may be small, but the experience is impressive.
Feed your sweet tooth at Ela's Creamery. This fun little shop will make you feel like it's the middle of summer, no matter what time of year it is. Ela's offers two soft-serve flavors at a time, with flavors rotating every week.
Omaha residents will no doubt recognize Noli's Pizzeria. The beloved pizza shop modified its water filtration system to mimic the water found in New York, giving the dough its distinctive NY flavor. That dough is the perfect base for your next delectable pizza meal.
Kathmandu Momo Station started out as a pop-up restaurant serving delicious dumplings, and now the Inner Rail store is its second brick-and-mortar location. Where else in Omaha can you find authentic Nepalese street cuisine and Burmese ramen?
The Bánh Mì Shop brings fresh, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine to Aksarben. Everything is made from scratch, from the bread to the mayo to the pickles. If you've never tried a bánh mì, get ready for a life-changing meal.
Choose from a savory or sweet treat at Sofra Creperie. You'll feel like you're strolling the streets of Paris as you nibble on the paper-thin crepe stuffed with your choice of fillings. Our recommendation: the gooey S'mores dessert crepe.
Nori Sushi more than holds its own against the many other sushi restaurants in the city. Choose from a wide variety of rolls, bowls, salads, and sides - there's something for everyone to love.
Last but certainly not least, The Backstretch Bar is centrally located in the Inner Rail Food Hall. If you're choosing to dine on-site, you can grab a drink to enjoy with your meal. Thanks to special zoning, you're allowed to consume your adult beverages anywhere in the venue. It's the perfect way to unwind as you take a look around the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The Inner Rail spills out into cozy outdoor seating and a green space featuring outdoor games and fire pits. It's a unique addition to the Omaha dining landscape and a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family while you support local businesses.
