There’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into a ripe summer peach or sipping a glass of locally-produced wine. This summer or fall, visit the Historic Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard where you can spend the day picking your own produce, enjoying a wine tasting, and even taking a hayrack tour!
Richard Kimmel opened his orchard in 1925, just a few miles down the road from his grandfather's farm, which was founded in the 1850. The Kimmel family has a long history with this land, and it's long been an important part of the rural community here.
They'll supply you with containers for your fruit. When you're done picking, they'll weigh your harvest and charge you per pound (prices vary depending on the type of fruit you've picked).
