Heron Haven Nature Center is a spring-fed wetland sanctuary within the city limits. It features one of the last Oxbox Wetlands of the Big Papillion Creek.
The grounds are used by many students to conduct ecological studies of the native plants and animals in the area.

This is a special and amazing place to explore with the whole family. It’s a flat area, with beautiful views, and lots of space to walk around.
The trail that runs through the nature center is only .6 miles long.

You can come visit daily from 9:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. There are no entrance fees, and the public is encouraged to come and visit and explore the area.
