There’s something undeniably relaxing and rejuvenating about being out in nature. Whether you’re on an epic hike or simply relaxing in a hammock, being outdoors is one surefire way to recenter the soul. This beautiful herb farm in northeastern Nebraska is the perfect place to experience the calming effects of nature while learning something new about using plants to heal.
Welcome to the naturally magical world of Red Road Herbs!
When you arrive you'll be instantly greeted with the delightful sights of flowers, herbs, and other plants everywhere you look. There are more than 100 types of herbs growing here in several garden sections.
You can book one-on-one or group classes with owner Rachel Liester on a wide variety of subjects from gardening to alternative healing to plant identification and much more.
Of course, if you're more interested in relaxing than learning, you can always book a tour of the gardens. Tours can be for individuals or groups of any size and include tea and treats.
The gardens are host to a number of events throughout the year. Some are educational and others just for entertainment; many are focused on personal growth and connection to the Earth.
If you truly need time to get away from life and unwind in a serene setting, join in one of the scheduled retreats. These events can last from a few hours to overnight and involve any number of topics, from grief to personal growth to plant identification. There's a perfect retreat here for everyone!
There's no pressure to conform to a strict schedule or meet any benchmarks here. It's all about learning and enjoying and having a wonderful experience.
Whether you're here for an hour or a weekend, you'll be enchanted by the serenity of the place. You can feel the energy of the plants and all of the love that goes into tending them. Gardening isn't just a hobby here; it's a way of life.
There's something for the whole family to enjoy - even those who don't think they like gardening or herbs. It's the ideal setting for meetings, weddings, or other gatherings that call for a spectacular backdrop.
You can take home a piece of the garden in the form of fresh or dried herbs or a small selection of herbal products made on site. This salve is said to help with everything from itching to scarring to moisturizing and beyond.
If you'd like to learn more about herb gardening and natural remedies, you can even book a class at your own location. For a reasonable fee, Rachel or another guide will come to a meeting place of your choosing to share their valuable knowledge.
