If you’re tired of the same old restaurants every time you go out, try something a little out of the ordinary. This firefighting-themed restaurant combines unique memorabilia with a sports bar atmosphere and an impressive menu to make for an unforgettable date night (or family night) destination.
Fire Barn Sports Bar & Grill in Waterloo, Nebraska is a themed restaurant offering hearty American food in a firefighter-themed setting.
The restaurant is owned by two local firemen with 30 years of firefighting experience. The pair wanted to combine their love of firefighting with their love of food, and thus the Fire Barn was born.
This casual, family-friendly eatery is filled with firefighter memorabilia and tributes to those who have taken on this dangerous job. A memorial to the firefighters who died on 9/11 is a touching sight. Take a look around at all of the fascinating objects on the walls while you wait for your food.
But there are a few surprises here, too. When was the last time you found a hot beef sandwich on the menu at your local watering hole? The daily lunch and dinner specials rotate, so come back every day of the week to find your favorite.
There's even a Sunday brunch buffet that will help you fight that post-Saturday night drag. There are fresh fruits, pastries, meats, and potatoes galore.
When the weather cooperates, you can even sit outside to enjoy your meal. The outdoor seating area is a lovely, sunny place that carries on the firefighter theme.
