If you grew up in Nebraska, you’ve probably got fond memories of a favorite campground where you and your family went to enjoy nature summer. For a lot of folks in the Omaha metro area, that campground was Sokol Park. This beautiful haven just steps away from the Platte River has been a favorite place for family reunions and other events for generations, and now it’s got a whole new identity that gives you even more to love. The old Sokol Park is now Falconwood Park.
Located just south of Bellevue, Falconwood Park is 26 acres of lush shaded green space.

It's a popular place for events, particularly weddings. The gorgeous setting makes it perfect for a relaxing weekend gathering. A fully-equipped bar and kitchen in the 6,000 square foot lodge are there for all of your event's catering needs.
The large outdoor stage is ideal for summer concerts. Falconwood Park is the home of the Hullabaloo Music Festival, and several other concert events are planned throughout the summer season.
In the warmer months, the park hosts drive-in movies. There are 150 drive-in slots, and after those are sold out there are "park and walk" spots where you can park away from the drive-in area and walk in with a blanket or chairs to sit on. Food trucks and concessions are available at each movie.
There are only two other drive-in movie theaters in the state, so this is something truly special. In their first year, the park sold out just about every movie showing.
One other thing Nebraska is tragically short on is glamping facilities. Falconwood Park has added another glamping option with their four luxurious tents.
Each tent is outfitted with fun furnishings, electricity, fans, and a real bed, so you can experience the gorgeous natural surroundings in total comfort.
The park has modern bathroom facilities, and you can purchase a variety of drinks and snacks at the pavilion. You can also bring in your own grills and coolers.
There are now brand new premium, oversize RV parking spots at Falconwood that will allow renters to stay there all summer long. One of these spots guarantees you free VIP tickets to each of the events at the park. Each spot has water and electricity hookups along with a fire ring and picnic table. Your seasonal rate includes winter RV storage so you don’t even have to worry about taking your RV home in the off season.
With so much going on at Falconwood Park, you might not want to leave even after summer draws to a close! Keep up on news, including concert line-ups and movie showing information, at the park’s website and Facebook page.
