You may know Eagle, the little town just outside of Lincoln, for its popular racetrack. But what you might not know is that every Halloween season, the raceway turns into one of the most terrifying haunted attractions in the whole country. Ready to be scared?
Step inside, if you dare, to see the creepy, spooky, and downright terrifying haunts at Eagle Hollow Haunts. The attraction celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2019. Since then, sites like Scary Overload and Travel Noir have called it the scariest Halloween attraction in the state and one of the scariest in the nation.
In a normal year, Eagle Hollow Haunts consists of three main attractions. This year, due to pandemic-related restrictions, only the outdoor haunt, Darklands, will be open.
But don't let that deter you - there's still a whole lot to scare and delight every brave visitor. The Darklands attraction was expanded and reimagined as the main haunt. If you've visited in past years, you won't be disappointed at the changes!
When your scare is over and you're ready to settle down and compare stories with friends, sit at one of the fire pit areas. This year, more firepits have been added to accommodate social distancing guidelines.
So set aside an evening for the scare of your life, then board the scary black bus that will take you to the Darklands. Can you handle this experience?
Eagle Hollow Haunts is open Thursday through Saturday all through October. Find out more and book your own timed tickets on the attraction’s website, or visit the official Facebook page to keep up on other news.
