As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
You can find fantastic places to stay all across the great state of Nebraska, but there are a few accommodations that really stand out. This spectacular hotel in downtown Omaha is one of the most jaw-dropping places to spend a night (or how about a week?) in the lap of luxury.
The Magnolia is located at 1615 Howard St in Omaha, in a historic building that dates all the way back to 1923. It was once known as the Aquila Court Building and was built to resemble the Bargello, a stunning palace in Florence, Italy.
Even among the other opulent hotels in the city, the Magnolia is something truly special. The ornate building has been listed on the National Register Of Historic Places since 1974, and it's also a Historic Hotels of America Property.
One of the hotel's most recognizable and memorable features is the absolutely beautiful open-air courtyard. This special outdoor space is a favorite location for weddings, and it's easy to see why.
These lovely rooms are the perfect spot for a romantic stay. Bring your sweetheart, and enjoy a luxurious bath followed by a sumptuous in-room meal. Or get all dolled up and go downstairs to The District, the onsite bar and restaurant, for a fancy evening out.
The regular guest rooms are wonderful, but if you have the means, spring for one of the suites. The Executive King Parlors, Premiere King Flats and Premier King Lofts all feature extra space so you can sprawl out. But the real gem is the Presidential Suite with 1200 square feet of living space.
This is definitely a big splurge for just about anyone's budget, but the apartment-like suite comes with a full kitchen, a soaking tub, a private entrance and two levels of living space. It is absolutely breathtaking.
Of course, you don't have to be a guest here to enjoy all that the Magnolia has to offer. The hotel hosts plenty of weddings, and it's also the setting of many meetings, parties and other gatherings.
The Magnolia is definitely one of the most unique, romantic places to stay in Nebraska. Find out more about the hotel, including how to book your own stay, here.
