Now that school’s out, how many times have you heard, “I’m bored?” With all the natural beauty in the Cornhusker State, there’s no reason to let boredom rule your summer. Plan a weekend trip that will get your family out in the great outdoors, where you’ll make memories that will last a lifetime. Check out this pretty state park!
Chadron State Park is located in the northwest corner of the state, inside the Nebraska National Forest. The park is nine miles south of Chadron.
This beautiful 973-acre park was established in 1921, and is Nebraska's oldest state park. There's so much to see and do here, that you'll want to spend at least a weekend exploring.
Surround yourself with the beauty of nature on one of the hiking trails here. The park offers six miles of trails, and the adjacent Nebraska National Forest has an additional 100 miles of trails, so you'll never run out of hiking opportunities.
Not ready for your trip to end? Stay overnight in one of the 22 cabins available for rent. Cabins include air conditioning, heating, blankets, towels and kitchenettes.
