Take In Unforgettable Bird's-Eye Views On This Virtual Flight Above Nebraska's Sandhills
It seems almost criminal that some of Nebraska’s most beautiful places are seldom seen by human eyes. Our cities and towns are host to plenty of people every single day – and even our fields see at least a little traffic – but the Sandhills are a different story. This spectacular area covers more than a quarter of the entire state with blithely rolling hills and dramatic swoops of grass and sand, and much of it is not readily explorable for passers-through.

This five-minute video looks down at the Sandhills from a DJI Mavic Pro drone. It's hard not to gasp a little when you see the hills in all their glory, particularly in these sweeping flyover shots. You'll spy a few ranches on the ground, but this sparsely-populated area is known for its remoteness. There are places out here that haven't seen a human in many years.
See even more of this gorgeous area in the above two-minute tour of the Sandhills. It was filmed just southeast of Valentine and offers an intimate look at what it's like to exist in this untamed region.
