You won’t have any trouble finding a great steak in Nebraska. Steakhouses abound in every city and small town throughout the state. But if you’re craving a massive steak with huge side dishes, head to Grand Island for a steak lover’s paradise.
Texas T-Bone Steakhouse is a regional chain with three locations, one of which is in Grand Island, Nebraska. And if you're looking for some of the biggest, juiciest, most flavorful steaks in the Cornhusker State, this is where you want to be.
There's a full bar with a great selection of beer and cocktails to wash down your meal with. A cold beer is the perfect accompaniment, but you can never go wrong with a Moscow Mule (pictured here).
There's a wide variety of starters to kick off your meal if you're especially hungry, but we recommend waiting for the main dish...you're going to need the room!
If you're not interested in a steak, you can always opt for the huge build-your-own salad. You get your choice of ingredients and dressing served up in this massive bowl.
But let's be serious here. You go to a steakhouse for the steak, and Texas T-Bone Steakhouse offers some truly indulgent selections. This surf and turf platter comes with a 10-oz steak, battered shrimp, and a pile of delectable onion rings.
These high-quality cuts are best when served medium-rare, but the kitchen will accommodate your preference.
When you visit, you'd better bring your appetite. The steaks run the gamut from petite filets to this insanely huge 36-oz porterhouse. It's technically "for two," but we won't tell if you want to keep it all to yourself.
You can customize your meal with toppings - sauteed mushrooms and sauteed onions, for example - and choose from a large selection of side dishes. We recommend the enormous loaded baked potato or the mesquite-smoked baked beans.
In addition to a whopping 64-oz top sirloin steak, you'll be served a salad, a baked potato, and two rolls. Finish it all within one hour and this whole meal is free. Fail to finish and you'll have to pay $65 - which doesn't seem like a bad price for such a massive amount of food!
Whether you're craving a petite filet, a belly-busting porterhouse, or something in between, this is THE destination for true steak lovers.
You can find out more about Texas T-Bone Steakhouse’s Grand Island location on its website or Facebook page. Have you ever attempted the massive 4-lb steak challenge? Tell us all about it in the comments!
