In Nebraska’s capital city, something BIG is happening in the world of desserts. It’s so big, in fact, that Bigfoot himself has lent his likeness to this quirky bakery. Sasquatch Bakery featuring Stauffer’s Pie Shoppe gives visitors a variety of fun, delicious goodies that you won’t find anywhere else.
Sasquatches probably don't eat sweets, but if they did, we're pretty sure they'd be big fans of the treats at Sasquatch Bakery.
Nom Noms are tasty cookies, brownies, banana bread, or similar treats with a new twist. They're made in a deep-dish form, making them the perfect container for holding an even more decadent creation.
Pile a whole bunch of ice cream and toppings on top of a Nom Nom and you've got a Sasquatch-approved dessert that will ruin all other desserts for you.
Keep an eye on the menu - new recipes are being developed all the time. Pictured below are blueberry oatmeal, chunky monkey, pecan cookie with brown butter frosting, and two mini fruit cobblers. Yum!
It starts with an entire slice of cake or pie, then some ice cream is smashed into it. Add on some sauces, toppings, and whipped cream and you've got a one-of-a-kind indulgence.
If you're in a hurry, you can always grab one of the pre-smashed bowls. The various combinations of flavors and textures are all divine. If you've never tried smashing your cake and ice cream together, one bite of a Smash Bowl will have you regretting it.
There's a lot more behind the glass case at this bakery, though! Try an oatmeal creme pie, a cinnamon roll that's the size of your head (seriously), or a fancy version of a Rice Krispies treat.
Sasquatch Bakery features Lincoln's famous Stauffer's Pies, so you know you're in for a real treat. Have a piece on its own or have it smashed into a Smash Bowl - there's no wrong way to enjoy dessert!
