The Swimming Spot With The Clearest, Most Pristine Water In Montana
Summer gets a late start in Montana, but once it arrives, it’s glorious. Our beautiful swimming holes span the state, but one of the best spots to take a swim happens to be located in the northwest corner in the underdeveloped (and quiet) Yaak Valley.

Part of the river has Class IV-V whitewater rapids, but part of it is perfectly calm.

From Kalispell, you'll take RT 2 west through Libby and Troy. From Troy, you'll continue west for a few miles until you turn right on RT 508. The swimming hole is located nearby.

And if you visit this summer, please do your best to keep it that way.

And if you camp nearby, you'll have plenty of chances to swim.
This swimming spot is beautiful, but it’s definitely out of the way for most Montanans. If you can’t make it this summer, try check out one of our great water parks.
