If you’re looking for a great playground in Montana , there are a lot of amazing options. But for a truly magical experience, head to Dragon Hollow Playground in Missoula. This special play area is perfect for kids of all ages and abilities and is even next to a carousel. So put it on your bucket list and then plan a magical day here.
The Dragon Hollow Playground is located in downtown Missoula. You can find it along the Clark Fork River on Carousel Drive.
It's a great destination playground, but also so easy to get to if you happen to be downtown running errands and need a playground break for the kids!
In 2000, the construction company tasked with building a playground on the site visited schools to learn what kids actually wanted in their play area.
Turns out the kids wanted a dragon with three heads, internal organs on which they could bounce, and big slides!
Well, the builders listened and when the playground was completed in 2001, it was a kid's dream.
It's a vast dragon playground with tons of places to explore, climb, and imagine.
There is a huge circular slide, swings, places to bounce, and even an area for toddlers and smaller kids to play.
The playground was refurbished in 2019 to turn Dragon Hollow into an all-inclusive play area.
Now kids of all ages and abilities can play there and enjoy the magical, dragon-themed playground.
And as a huge bonus, there is a carousel right next door!
So after a few hours of climbing, sliding, and bouncing on Dragon Hollow, head over to the carousel for a whimsical ride.
