Montana’s waterfalls are legendary, and some of them, like Palisade Falls, are hiding in plain sight. But with over 120 named waterfalls in the state, it’s easy to see how some might remain under the radar. If you’re ever in the Livingston area and you’re in the mood for a little adventure, check out the Pine Creek Falls trail.
To reach the trailhead from Livingston, drive five miles south on Highway 89 and take a left on East River Road. Next, drive about nine miles and turn left on Luccock Park Road. The campground is about two miles up the road, which is where you'll see the signs for the trail.
There's only a slight uphill climb, which is why the trail is ranked as moderately difficult.

Aside from the waterfall, this is one of the prettiest parts of the hike.
