This Longtime Local Favorite Montana Restaurant Just Opened Under New Ownership
If you grew up or went to college in Missoula, you may have some fond memories of The Old Post. This beloved pub was a local hot spot for over 30 years before it abruptly closed in 2019 due to some financial difficulties. But thanks to a couple of University of Montana alums, The Old Post is back, and we dare say it’s better than ever.

The name, address, and vibes are the same, but this place has seen some major upgrades.

Kimberly is the former Meagher County Attorney, and she has quite a bit of restaurant experience. She owns the upscale Bar 47 in White Sulphur Springs, and her children own The Jawbone Bar & Restaurant there as well.

They also added plenty of modern flair.

This is the new version of The Drunken Goat, a classic salad from the past.

The pub opens for breakfast every morning and serves dinner until 10 p.m. each night, and it's all delicious.

The name of the restaurant might be old, but with this fresh new team, we're sure to see some fantastic new menu items in the future.

The new owners have done an outstanding job at renovating this place while keeping its original character.
