Picture it: You and your other half, best friends or family are transported by a horse drawn sleigh under a starlit Montana sky to a cabin, where an expertly prepared dinner awaits you. If it sounds too good to be true, rejoice: Not only is it real, but the Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky has been hosting them for over 35 years.
Your Lone Mountain Ranch Sleigh Ride Dinner experience begins at 6:30 PM.
This is when the experience starts to feel magical. You’re surrounded by snow, everyone around you is excited, and best of all, it gets quieter and quieter the further you get from "civilization."

When you arrive, you’ll be seated at a table and served some seriously delicious food.
The menu includes sea salt dinner rolls, potato leek soup, and a full prime rib dinner with all the trimmings. Dessert (often huckleberry cobbler) is included, and beer and wine are available for purchase.
You can go home, of course, but to continue your relaxing experience, you can sleep at the ranch and enjoy breakfast the next morning before you head back to reality. The ranch offers "Sleigh & Stay" packages on their website.
This might be the most unique dining experience in Montana.
The Lone Mountain Ranch is located at 750 Lone Mountain Ranch Road in Big Sky. Reservations for the sleigh ride dinner can be made through OpenTable.com or by calling 406-995-4644. Children are welcome to join you on your sleigh ride, but this experience is best for kids 4 and older.
