Montanans tend to have a “live and let live” philosophy that most people find very refreshing. Between our sparsely populated towns and overwhelming state pride, you won’t find a better group of people, each with their own unique personalities and interests. Still, there are a few things you’re not likely to catch any of us doing.
Here are a few things self-respecting Montanans don’t do:
Most of us learned how to drive in the snow when we were 16. If we have somewhere to be, we’ll get there.
We may complain about the government, but we LOVE our country.

The speed limit is just a suggestion… right?

We’d rather keep that information to ourselves, because we’d rather have Montana to ourselves.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas Eve and we’ve already had four glasses of eggnog. We know that if we don’t get out and shovel the driveway, we’ll regret it.

We know how lucky we are to live in the Treasure State, and we don’t react well when we hear others speaking poorly about it.
There are always exceptions, of course, but for the most part, we love our meat and we’re not about to give it up.
It doesn’t matter what gate it is or if there is an animal (or human) behind it. We always close the gate.

We know a good thing when we see it. That’s why we get outdoors whenever we can and never miss a sunset if we can help it.
