Missoula’s dining scene is truly second to none — in fact, we’re not sure how anyone ever decides to eat in Zootown. Of course, you can never go wrong with Rumour, with its delightfully upscale cuisine served in a casual setting. This one-of-a-kind restaurant serves fresh, local, and sustainable food, and it may even be some of Montana’s best.

Rumour Restaurant is located at 1855 Stephens Avenue in Missoula's mid-town neighborhood.

The dining room is spacious, comfortable, and the definition of rustic elegance.

Of course, in the summertime, nothing beats brunch or lunch on the patio.

The dishes here are seasonally inspired, locally sourced whenever possible, and mostly organic.

The dinner menu is quite diverse, with tapas and small plates like bacon-wrapped dates and seared ahi tuna, as well as pizza and pasta.

Speaking of weekends, that's when the brunch menu is served -- and it's outstanding.

And if you drink, do not pass up a chance to order from the list of seasonal cocktails.

Rumour is open daily for dinner from 3 - 9 p.m., except for Fridays and Saturdays, when it stays open until 10.
