Life in Montana is pretty fantastic, which is why many Montanans choose to vacation close to home. We’ve got some seriously unique places to stay here in the Treasure State, including a former working cattle ranch that’s been converted into luxurious lodging. And the Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a perfect place for a relaxing staycation.
The Rainbow Ranch Lodge is located in Gallatin Gateway in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
Travelers who were passing through eventually started asking for a place to stay, and the Lemon family started renting out rooms and cooking guest meals.

The lodge was eventually called The Halfway Inn because of its location halfway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone.
It served as a hub for the local community and travelers alike until 1946, with services expanding to include a gas pump, store, and smokehouse. When the new owners purchased it, they closed down all businesses except the inn.
When you visit, you can expect to enjoy world-class dining and fantastic accommodations. The guest rooms and suites are spacious, comfortable, and full of all the comforts of home.
The on-site restaurant and bar is a fantastic place to hang out, and you can order breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
