It can sometimes feel like everything in Montana is big. The wide-open spaces, the mountains, the personalities, and even the burgers. But, the state also offers fun in more reasonable sizes. If you’re looking for a great way to enjoy the great outdoors, look no further than one of our favorite trails. It’s short enough to do in an afternoon, simple enough to make it family-friendly, and it leads to the most spectacular mini Grand Canyon in Montana.
The Blodgett Canyon Overlook Trail is less than three miles and can be explored with kids who like to hike. It’s located within the Bitterroot National Forest, which can experience seasonal road closures. Be sure to check the official Forest Service website to find out if there are any changes to accessibility.
