McAllister is an extremely small community (population 146) that sits just north of Ennis. And while there certainly isn’t much to it, it does happen to be home to one of the best steakhouses on the planet, the McAllister Inn. If you long for the “good old days” of the Last Best Place, you’ll love this old school eatery.
The steakhouse is self-described as a laid back, Johnny Cash and Ella Fitzgerald loving spot. And if that sounds appealing to you, you'll love this place.
